Amazon has purchased a 119 acre site outside of Chicago that was once an amusement park ā€” though the company isn’t saying what for.

Amazon paid $50 for the old site of Old Chicago amusement park, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The Tribune reports Amazon will likely build a new distribution center on the space, but Amazon declined to comment on its plans for the Bolingbrook parcel.

The property was home to Old Chicago from 1975 to 1980, when the park closed due to low attendance.

Since then Cox Automative used the land for an auto auction center, but that has since sold. Cox is listed as the seller.
