Amazon reports it’s out of many household items, experiencing delivery delays

Amazon has issued a warning that it’s completely sold out of popular household items and its experiencing delivery delays amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The company has seen a “dramatic increase in the rate that people are shopping online” in a blog post.

Amazon has added a message to many of its pages reading “Inventory and delivery may be temporarily unavailable due to increased demand. Confirm availability at checkout.”

Amazon is also showing increased delivery windows for many orders — often delayed by several days.

In addition, Amazon’s Prime Now and Amazon Fresh grocery delivery services have been seeing capacity issues with notices saying there are no available delivery options for several days.
