Apple Card has announced that eligible users affected by coronavirus can skip their March 2020 payments without penalty.

Participating in the program does require action on the part of each user.

“We understand that the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation poses unique challenges for everyone and some customers may have difficulty making their monthly payments. Apple Card is committed to helping you lead a healthier financial life,” the company wrote in an email send to cardholders.

Customers looking to take advantage of the opportunity to skip their March payment without penalty or incurring interest charges can contact Apple via Messages (link requires Messages to be installed on your device).

Keep in mind this program doesn’t reduce what members owe or eliminate having to eventually pay the principle due — instead, Apple is not charging interest on balances during the eligible period.

Apple Card does not charge late fees for missed payments under normal circumstances as part of its “no anything” push.
