The iconic Christ the Redeemer statue was transformed into a sort of hybrid between Jesus and a doctor on Easter Sunday in honor of the health care workers battling the coronavirus pandemic.
The statue, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is 124 feet tall and measures 98 feet across from finger to finger, depicts a rendition of Jesus with his arms outstretched, creating the shape of a cross.
An high tech projection system is used to project images onto the statue, including ones, like this, that can be mapped to fit the statue. Previously in the coronavirus crisis, a collagge of the flags of the word were shown over it.
