Amazon is putting its Prime Pantry service on hold during exploding demand during the coronavirus outbreak.

Prime Pantry offers a selection of non-perishable food (think cereal, granola bars and the like) and household essentials (it’s don’t require special handing such as ice packs or insulation).

The service is billed as Amazon’s answer to big box warehouse clubs such as Costco and Sam’s Club, giving customers discounted pricing on items, often sold in bulk, but without a separate membership beyond a Prime account.
