Anheuser-Busch introduces dog ‘beer’

Anheuser-Busch has rolled out “beer” for dogs — just in time for National Dog Day Aug. 26, 2020.

It’s probably better to call it “beer” (with quotes) since there’s actually no alcohol or most of the traditional ingredients found in “people” beer.

The product is marketed as “Dog Brew” by Busch and is actually more like a broth and can be served room temperature or cold.

The drink is created by using bone in pork butt, corn, celery, basic, mint, turmeric and ginger, which the company says creates a doggy friendly flavor while also providing nutrition.

Dog Brew is sold in four packs, with six packs to a case.

For every case that is sold, A-B has pledged to donate $1 to the Best Friends Animal Society.

This isn’t the first offering to be marketed as beer for dogs — there are multiple startup and smaller companies offering similar products.
