Astronauts are scheduled to try baking cookies in outer space

For the first time, astronauts will be able to bake cookies in space.
- A supply craft with a specially designed “space oven” along with baking ingredients has been sent to the International Space Station.
- Hilton’s DoubleTree provided the dough from the famous chocolate chip cookies it gives guests.
- The whole effort goes beyond just a tasty snack — the whole thing is designed around a series of experiments meant to test how heat and baking ingredients work in zero gravity and space.
