Meal kit provider Blue Apron has notified some customers that it will not be able to fulfill orders the week of March 23, 2020 due to “high demand.”

Presumably the company is experiencing fulfillment issues as people shift to online grocery shopping and meal kits during the coronavirus crisis.

“We’re grateful you’ve joined the Blue Apron community, especially at a time when home cooking matters more than ever,” reads the email Blue Apron sent to some customers under the heading “We have your back.”

“This won’t be the norm. We’re rapidly working to adapt to demand and serve our customers during this unprecedented time. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to make selections for the next available cycle,” the email continues.

Some users, meanwhile, are reporting technical issues trying to place or change orders or selections for the next delivery cycle.

It’s also not immediately clear if Blue Apron is giving preference to users who made selections earlier or long time members.
