Corona will continue marketing hard seltzer

Anheuser-Busch InBev’s Constellation Brands says it will push forward with a marketing campaign for its new Corona Hard Seltzer product despite what it says was a “poorly timed” tweet.

The tweet in question used the line that the seltzers will be “coming ashore soon,” reports CNBC.

The choice of words was presumably in reference to the seltzer’s tropical and summery flavors, but also was taken by many to refer to the coronavirus outbreak overseas that has started to spread worldwide.
