The Internet is already abuzz with Donald Trump’s epic “hamberders” typo — and now many are pointing out discrepancies in the number of hamburgers he actually bought.
- Hunter Walker, a reporter for Yahoo! News, noted the differences in Trump’s claim on Twitter Jan. 14, 2019.
- Trump initially said he purchased 300 hamburgers out of his own pocket to feed the Clemson University football team.
- However, later he claimed he bought 1,000 on Twitter.
- Then, less than 24 hours later, Trump claimed the team ate “over 1,000” hamburgers.
- The cost of the meal was reportedly $3,000.
- The White House isn’t confirming how many were actually purchased.
I should note that, at one point tonight, President Trump said he bought 300 hamburgers. Later, he claimed he bought 1,000 hamburgers.
