Kraft’s trick to get kids to each more veggies? Salad ‘frosting’

Kraft, in an effort to make vegetables more appealing to kids, has introduced what it calls “salad frosting.”

In reality, the product is just ranch dressing.

The “frosting” masquerade includes selling the product in a squeezable pouch inspired by packaging used to sell real frosting.

The package includes a confetti design with the word “frosting” in quotation marks — essentially visible air quotes.

Smaller type farther down the package identifies the real contents to comply with packaging regulations.

On social media, some are praising the move, while others are questioning the company’s move of encouraging kids to only eat vegetables coated with dressing or dips.
