GoDaddy ditches the dude in rebranding

GoDaddy has finally bid farewell to the orange haired dude that’s been part of its logo design since it was founded.
Previously, the company had switched to a logotype using the font Boing but still retained the figure’s head with orange hair, a star on its forehead and green glasses.
The new branding retains he logotype in a slightly less bold version, but the guy is gone.
Instead, the letters “G” and “O” are now morphed into an icon that sort of a looks like a heart — or maybe a flower or swirl?
The design is reminiscent of the curvy Airbnb logo — but it’s the latest step in the company’s brand evolution.
That path once included “GoDaddy Girls” and racing tie ins but now focuses more on small but often glamorous businesses.
GoDaddy worked with Lippincott for the rebranding — with Koto doing the logo design.
