Amazon looking to reduce two day shipping for Prime members to one day

Amazon has announced a long term goal of upgrading the free two day shipping it current offers to its Prime members to one day.

• Amazon has already dropped the $35 minimum for one day shipping.
• Select ZIP codes are already eligible to receive one day shipping with no minimum — and more members are expected to become eligible.
• Prime currently costs $115 a year, which was a $20 increase over the previous price.
• As for one day shipping, Amazon said it has invested $800 million in infrastructure upgrades to its distribution network, which will make one day shipping possible for more members.
