Paramount+ officially launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland June 22, 2022.

Expanding the streamer globally has long been a key goal of execs at Paramount Global, formerly ViacomCBS, and the company noted its pledge to bring 150 international original series to the platform by 2025.

The streaming service launched in South Korea June 16, 2022, and is expected to come to Italy in September 2022. Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France are planned for December 2022 launch.

Paramount+ only appears to be offering an ad-free plan in the U.K. and Irish market.

It’s priced at £6.99 per month in the U.K., or about $8.56 in U.S. dollars as of June 23, 2022, which is less than the $9.99 per month it costs in the U.S.

In Ireland, which is separate from the U.K. and uses the euro, the cost is €7.99 per month, or about $8.40 U.S.

Like in the U.S., Paramount+ has a 7-day free trial.

Sky Cinema subscribers will get access to Paramount+ at no additional cost as part of a deal between the two companies.

Paramount appears to be using geo-location technology to determine what version of its website, paramountplus.com, users see — and therefore what pricing and content is available in their respective market.
