About a month after CBS renamed its morning newscast, moved into a new studio and added a new co-host, things still don’t look good in the ratings.
For the week of Oct. 4, 2021, “CBS Mornings” averaged 2.5 million viewers, a 7% dip in total average audience for the same week in 2020. It’s also down 2% over the previous week.
The show has 527,000 viewers in the adults 25-54 demo, another 2% decline from the week before and a 15% drop from 2020.
That’s compared to ABC’s 3.25 million for “Good Morning America” and NBC’s 3.11 million for “Today.”
“Today,” as it often does, beat “GMA” in the 25-54 demo with about 881,000 viewers. “GMA” had just over 800,000.
All three morning shows were down across the board over 2020, with NBC down 6% in total viewers and 13% in the demo and “GMA” down 7% overall and 14% in the demo.
