Atlanta anchor dies from brain cancer

WSB anchor Jovita Moore has died just a few months after announcing she had an aggressive form of brain cancer.

The Atlanta anchor underwent surgery in April 2021 to remove two masses from her brain and tests revealed she had glioblastoma.

She died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, the station announced Oct. 29, 2021.

Moore had been with the station since 1998 and is survived by her mother, two children and a stepdaughter.

The station is continuing to accent memories and notes to Moore’s family on its website.
