BBC News has announced plans to cut 10 minutes out of its 10 p.m. newscast in favor of its BBC Three programming block.
The newscast will shrink from 31 and a half minutes to 26 and a half.
The changes also include cutting local news and weather from 11 minutes to 7.
BBC Three was originally a standalone channel before it was converted to an Internet only stream until 2016.
The name has since returned to BBC as the name of a programming block with programming geared at younger audiences.
