Brian Ross exits ABC News after faulty Flynn story

ABC News chief investigative correspondent Michael Ross, who came under fire for faulty reporting on for former National Security Advsier Michael Flynn, is leaving the network:

• Ross has been with ABC for 24 years, The New York Post reports.
• His longtime executive producer Rhonda Schwartz is also leaving ABC.
• Ross was suspended for one month without pay in December 2017 after reporting that Flynn claimed Donald Trump ordered him to make direct contact with the Russian government.
• After returning from suspension, Ross was reassigned to the network’s Lincoln Square Productions unit.
• Lincoln Square Productions is separate from ABC News and maintains its own off-site offices.
• Ross was assigned to work on long term projects under Lincoln Square Productions and also contributed to “20/20” and “Nightline.”
• The now former ABC correspondent is not related to the man of the same name who is married to former NBC anchor Ann Curry.
