CBS News‘ “Sunday Morning” found itself unable to produce a new show March 15, 2020, due to a coronavirus cluster at the network’s New York broadcast center.
Host Jane Pauley opened the broadcast by saying “…this is a special edition of ‘Sunday Morning’ — a special edition for this unusual time. With the coronavirus making it impossible for us to produce our regular show, we’re revisiting our 40th anniversary show from a year ago.”
The taped open featuring Pauley was produced from the show’s usual Studio 45 set.
Much of the CBS News team is working remotely this week after four cases of coronavirus were discovered among staffers working at the 57th Street facility and another CBS property.
“Sunday Morning” shares Studio 45 with “Inside Edition” — which has been originating from host Deborah Norville’s kitchen.
