“CBS This Morning” co-anchor Anthony Mason joined March 25, 2020’s show from home after coming into contact with someone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
According to Mason, an unidentified family member has begun experiencing loss of taste and smell, which is just one of the symptoms the coronavirus disease can cause.
Mason himself is not experiencing any symptoms but the decision was made to have him join the show remotely via video call.
Meanwhile, Gayle King and Tony Dokoupil held down the fort — with even more social distancing — inside the Ed Sullivan Theater, the temporary home for the show while the CBS Broadcast Center remains mostly closed after multiple staffers tested positive for the virus.
