‘CBS This Morning’ to devote entire hour to coronavirus Friday

“CBS This Morning” will dedicated an entire hour to coverage of the coronavirus Friday, March 6, 2020.

Titled “Coronavirus: The Race to Respond,” the network will start offer updates on new development starting at 7 a.m. with the 8 to 9 a.m. hour being entirely dedicated to the subject.

Back in October 2019, the broadcast dedicated its entire 8 a.m. to a discussion on mental health.

In the promo for the special hour, the CBS eye is somewhat eerily placed against a blue-green computer rendering of a swarm of viruses in the distinct crown or halo shape that give it its name.

CBS isn’t alone in rolling out special programing.

CNN is offering a two hour long town hall on the subject March 5. MSNBC will air a special edition of its semi-regular series “Richard Engel on Assignment” Sunday.
