CNN adding ‘beacon’ team for covering racial issues

CNN is launching a team that will serve as a “center” and “beacon” for covering racial issues, reports The Wrap.
Delano Massey will head up the new unit, which CNN president Jeff Zucker, announced July 13, 2020.
He said the team will also include a senior writer, senior editor and breaking news and trends writer and the staffers will work across the network’s platforms.
NBC News has its NBCBLK vertical that focuses on reporting surrounding race and racial injustice in the Black community.
