A CNN analyst was with a congresswoman when a man made a Nazi salute at the black representative.
- Renato Mariotti was with Rep. Lauren Underwood in Oswego, Illinois for a parade.
- According to Mariotti’s tweet, when Underwood passed the Kendall County Republicans float, a man gave a “Nazi salute and shouted ‘Sieg Heil’.”
- Mariotti tagged “@kenallgop” which turns out to be the account of a different Kendall county GOP group.
- The Kendall County Republicans later issued a statement admonishing the behavior and saying the man in question has been banned from its events.
I’m with Congresswoman @LaurenUnderwood in Oswego today for the PrairieFest parade, and when we passed the Kendall County Republican float, we were greeted by a man who gave a Nazi salute and shouted Sieg Heil.
Is that what @kendallgop stands for?
