CNN fired three employees for coming into its offices while allegedly not being vaccinated for COVID-19.

WarnerMedia and CNN announced policies that require anyone working on company property to be vaccinated. The rule also extends to anyone working on assignments remotely when they will be around other employees.

According to a memo first posted by CNN reporter Oliver Darcy, WarnerMedia news and sports chairman Jeff Zucker indicated the company became aware of the employees’ status and took action.

The employees were not named.

“Let me be clear — we have a zero tolerance policy on this,” he wrote the memo.

The network is allowing employees to come to work on a voluntary basis, with masks required in Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles or where local regulations require them.

Meanwhile, the company announced it would push its planned return to the office from Sept. 7, 2021 until at least October, but did not offer a firm date as the delta variant continues to spread and cause more infections worldwide.
