CNN reportedly putting spotlight on stories it missed that Fox covered online

CNN’s digital audience development team has reportedly begun highlighting top daily stories on its properties — as well as ones that Fox published but CNN missed.

Inside sources tell The Daily Beast that the messages are being shared on an internal Slack channel.

According to the sources, the fox emoji is placed next to ones Fox covered but CNN did not.

CNN public relations frequently tout its digital numbers that often illustrate a dominant position online — even over Fox.
