CNN will bring its town hall format to South by Southwest.

The network, which has become known for its town hall format, will hold three back-to-back events with three separate candidates on March 10, 2019 (all times eastern):

  • 7 p.m. with feature Rep. John Delaney
  • 8 p.m. will feature Rep. Tulsi Gabbard
  • 9 p.m. will feature South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg

CNN will cull an audience of Texas voters along with SXSW attendees to interact with the candidates, which will be hosted by Dana Bash and Jake Tapper.

In its press release announcing the event, CNN points out that by holding the event at SXSW will give it access to the “world’s most innovative and creative minds from industries like interactive and digital media, film and music.”

The events will originate from Austin City Limits at Moody Theater on CNN, CNN International and CNN Español. It will also stream on CNN.com and the network’s mobile apps and connected televisions.

No cable subscription will be required to view the town halls.
