Columbus station fires meteorologist after child porn charges brought against him

A Columbus meteorologist was fired from his station shortly after his initial court appearance Friday, Sep. 6, 2019 on child pornography charges.
- WBNS confirmed the firing in a statement on its official Twitter account.
- The station said it has “decided to end our relationship with Mike Davis.”
- It went on so refer to a violation of “certain terms of his employment.”
- Many TV personalities have a so-called “morality clause” in their contracts that lets stations terminate them if unflattering news becomes public about them.

It has been a difficult few days and our team has been shocked by this news. We have decided to end our relationship with Mike Davis due to a violation of certain terms of his employment with WBNS.
