ABC’s O&O in Chicago, WLS, keeps getting visits from creepy crawly little friends.
- Like most stations, WLS maintains a series of locked down, sometimes robotically controlled. cameras, typically perched high above the city, at strategic locations.
- The feeds are often used as backgrounds behind weather forecasts, to show traffic conditions or beauty bump shots and as anchor desk backgrounds.
- However, the station’s cameras have apparently become popular with spiders, who keep making guest appearances on air.
- Because the cameras are pointed at objects far away, when a spider or bug crawls over the lens, it appears to be “giant.”
