DOJ OK’s Nexstar-Tribune merger

The U.S. Justice Department has given the OK for Tribune Media and Nexstar Broadcast Group to merge.

In order to get the merger approved, Nexstar will have to divest in stations in 13 markets.

After the deal, Nexstar will own over 200 stations reaching 39% of U.S. homes.

Next, the merger heads to the FCC for approval.
