Former Fox personality Ed Henry was arrested in West Palm, Florida, for DUI on June 20, 2023.

The arrest comes after a sheriff’s officer reportedly spotted Henry behind the wheel of a black Cadillac Escalade with a broken tire.

Henry was stopped and allegedly told the deputy that he was not aware of the tire’s condition. He then allegedly tried to turn when the tire came off the rim and rolled into oncoming traffic. No other vehicles were damaged in the alleged incident, though at least one car had to swerve to avoid the tire.

At some point, the officer reported he smelled alcohol on Henry’s breath. After further questioning, Henry allegedly admitted to drinking at least six glasses of bourbon before starting to drive, though it was not clear when those drinks were allegedly consumed.

Henry reportedly failed field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol was allegedly measured at .08, according to police reports released in July 2022. The legal limit for DUI in Florida is .08 or above.

Henry was fired in the summer of 2020 for alleged sexual misconduct in the workplace. He denied any wrongdoing and later filed multiple lawsuits against the network, its CEO Suzanne Scott, media outlets and multiple Twitter accounts for alleged defamation.

The suits against NPR and CNN were dropped in 2022.

Henry’s firing stemmed from a June 2020 report by a former employee.
