Fans offer up alternatives to the infamous ‘Game of Thrones’ coffee cup

Although HBO has admitted a Starbucks cup left on set of “Game of Thrones” was a mistake (and since removed it), that hasn’t stopped some people to say “not so fast.”
- Some fans have conjectured that the cup could have been a subtle message from the show to viewers who complained the previous episode, “The Long Night,” was too dark.
- They point out that, perhaps, the message here was that the show isn’t too dark for viewers to spot such an error.
- Other fans offer up another theory — since no one has actually seen the final episode of the series, there could actually be an explanation for the historical anarchism — perhaps some kind of time traveling or rift in time?
- However, this seems unlikely given HBO’s admission that the cup was an error and has since removed it.
