Two journalists are joining forces to launch a politics-focused short form video media outlet.

Former Wired staffers John Heilemann and John Battelle will launch “The Recount” ahead of the 2020 elections.

The initiative has been quietly sending content via email to a “VIP list” of subscribers.

However, with CNN’s second debate approaching, the outlet’s social media profiles and website flickered to life with additional teases.
