How the networks are covering the Ulvade school shooting

All of the major U.S. networks will broadcast from Uvalde, Texas, the site of the second deadliest school shooting in America’s history May 25, 2022.

“NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt will broadcast from the town, the network confirmed on Twitter.

“ABC World News Tonight” anchor David Muir will be on scene, the network confirmed.

“CBS Evening News” will feature “CBS Mornings” co-anchor Tony Dokupil, who was already on scene Wednesday morning, filling in for anchor Norah O’Donnell, who has been sidelined after testing positive for COVID-19.

Holt will also be in Uvalde, Texas, anchoring “Nightly” May 25, NBC confirmed on its Twitter account. “ABC World News Tonight” anchor David Muir will also anchor from Uvalde.

CNN has sent “New Day” co-anchor John Berman and “CNN Newsroom” co-anchor Alisyn Camerota, among others.

NBC also has “Top Story” anchor Tom Llamas and correspondent Morgan Chesky on scene. “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie traveled overnight Tuesday-into-Wednesday but had not arrived when the broadcast went live on the east coast at 7 a.m.

ABC kept all of its morning co-anchors in New York, but had “GMA3: What You Need to Know” and frequent “GMA” fill-in Amy Robach at the scene, among others.
