In a screaming headline ironically similar to those that grace the cover of David Pecker’s “National Enquirer,” the Huff Post broke the news that the publishing exec has reportedly been granted immunity in the Michael Cohen investigation.
- The headline, which read “Report: Trump loses pecker!” occupied the top portion of the Huff Post’s website.
- The headline was also sent via push alert to millions of Huff Post app users.
- The phallic pun reference quickly drew attention on social media as users shared screen captures of the page and notifications.
- The Huff Post’s “pecker” reference wasn’t the only penis reference to make news today.
