Syndicated quiz show “Jeopardy!” has added a more flexible testing option for people looking to become contestants.

Dubbed the “Anytime Test,” the new offering is an extension of the online version of the contestant test that has been offered at select times each year in recent seasons.

The 50 question “Anytime” test will be available through the end of April 2020, according to the show’s website.

It’s important to note that taking and passing the test is just one step in becoming a contestant.

Potential contestants who pass the test may be invited for the next stop in the process, an in person audition. Passing the test is not necessarily a guarantee that you will be called for an audition.

The anytime test does offer more flexibility — contestants can create an account and then take the test at any point during the window, including immediately.

The normal online tests require registering at least one hour prior to the test start time.

Anytime tests also don’t require contestants to pre-select preferred cities for an in person audition should they proceed to that step and the test can be taken at any time before the period expires, though the show does encourage taking the test as soon as possible.

Potential contestants can also make multiple attempts on the test, though “Jeopardy!” doesn’t say what that limit is.

The material on the anytime test is drawn from the same pool of content as the normal online tests but is typically randomized. Both tests are also timed.
