Joy Behar taking time off ‘The View’ due to coronavirus worries
Co-host Joy Behar will take some time off from “The View” due to concerns over coronavirus, reports Variety.
Behar, 77, announced her decision on a segment of the show taped March 12 but will air March 13 (“The View” and other talk shows often tape Friday editions on Thursday).
“The View” has already stopped allowing a studio audience on set.
While neither Behar or any of “The View” team have tested positive for the virus, she says much of her decision was driven by her age.
Coronavirus has been proving itself more harmful to the elderly.
Behar is the oldest member of “The View” regular panel, with moderator Whoopi Goldberg second at 64.
