Kimberly Guilfoyle’s interview with Jan. 6 committee axed after she claims terms of her agreement were violated

Former Fox star Kimberly Guilfoyle was scheduled to appear virtually before the House select committee on the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection but her interview quickly went sideways and was eventually canceled.

The interview was scheduled for Feb. 25, 2022 and Guilfoyle’s attorney had negotiated terms that called for her only to meet with attorneys for the committee.

When the video call started, Guilfoyle, through a statement prepared by her attorney said that others were on the call, including some the statement called “notorious for leaking information.”

Joseph Tacopina, Guilfoyle’s attorney, halted the proceedings at this point and then, according to the statement, news of the pause leaked to the news media “within less than two minutes.”

The voluntary interview was eventually called off.

It appears the committee is prepared to move forward to compel her to be interviewed. It has already subpoenaed Guilfoyle’s cellular phone records.

Guilfoyle, who is engaged to Donald Trump Jr., abruptly left Fox’s right leaning commentary channel in July 2018. It was later revealed that she had been accused of inappropriate behavior in front of a junior staffer, eventually leading to a secret, reportedly multimillion dollar settlement between the network and the staffer.

She went on to work for Trump’s re-election campaign.
