Man from coronavirus quarantine can’t stop coughing during Fox interview

A man released from a coronavirus quarantine spent the latter part of a live Fox interview coughing — and social media took notice.

Frank Wucinski was being interviewed by hosts Ed Henry and Sandra Smith on “America’s Newsroom” Friday, Feb. 28, 2020.

Near the end of the interview, he started coughing.

Coughing is cited as one of the symptoms of coronavirus, though it’s important to note there’s no immediate evidence that Wucinski has contracted it.

Henry acknowledge the cough on air, but Wucinski said it was probably due to nerves of being on live TV.

However, Wucinski covering his mouth with his hand and then touching his daughter’s face is drawing concerns from observers online — plus the fact that he took the mini bottle of water his daughter was drinking from and took a sip of it, apparently trying to calm the tickle in his throat — and then it almost immediately went back in her mouth.

While Wucinski has tested negative twice for the virus, the Fox hosts noted that there are other illnesses going around and Wucinski failed to follow even simple precautions for preventing the spread of germs recommended by most health experts.

(Another Fox host, Pete Hegseth, once said on air he hasn’t washed his hands in years claiming germs aren’t real because he can’t see them.)

In fairness, most parents of young children will tell you that sharing food and beverages (as well as contact with bodily fluids) is bound to happen — and consequently many illnesses tend to spread quickly through families.

At the end of the interview, Wucinski plugged his GoFundMe page — which is needed because his Chinese health insurance doesn’t cover American doctors.

As Henry and Smith wrapped the interview, Wucinski let out another cough.
