‘Modern Family’ dog dies just days after series ends production

Beatrice, the “dog actor” that played Stella on ABC’s sitcom “Modern Family,” reportedly died just days after the show wrapped up production on its final episode.

The series will run its 11th and final season through April 8, 2020.

Beatrice played Stella, who was the pet of Ed O’Neill’s character Jay Pritchett.

A different dog, named Brigitte played the dog in Seasons 2 and 3, with Beatrice taking over Season 4.

Beatrice’s other credits include “Workaholics,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “The Kominsky Method” as well as numerous high profile national commercials.

Beatrice was reportedly about 10 years old.
