NBC News correspondent leaves for local news

NBC News correspondent Blake McCoy, who was based in Chicago, has left the network and is set to join a local Washington, D.C. station as a reporter and anchor.
- McCoy, who joined NBC is 2015, has departed the network, according to his social media accounts.
- He is set to join WTTG, the Fox O&O in the national’s capital March 18.
- His Twitter account, @BlakeNBC, which contained the letters “NBC” has been taken down and replaced with “@BlakeMcCoyDC.”
- McCoy is a Georgetown University alum, so he’ll be returning to a city where he’s already lived for some time.
- During his time at NBC, McCoy filled in at the “NBC Nightly News” anchor desk.
