NBC correspondent Hans Nichols has left the network after four years to join Axios, he tweeted May 29, 2020.
Nichols previously worked at Bloomberg News as both an international and White House correspondent.
He first joined NBC in 2016, replacing retiring Pentagon correspondent Jim Miklaszewski.
At Axios, Nichols is expected to cover Joe Biden’s campaign.
It’s not immediately clear when he will start at Axios and as of June 1, 2020, his Twitter bio still lists NBC News as his employer.
Thanks to @NBCNews and @MSNBC for four years of adventure in DC, across the country and around the globe. Excited for a new challenge @axios, but leave with many memories and even more friends.
