‘News Nation’ drives home its mission in 30 minute video

Nexstar Media Group has released a nearly 30 minute “documentary” taking viewers behind the scenes of its national newscast “News Nation.”
Planned to launch Sept. 1, 2020, from studios in Chicago, the three hour newscast will air on WGN America, the cable channel Nexstar acquired, along with local station WGN, after buying Tribune’s broadcast assets.
In the spot, Nexstar emphasizes its focus on creating a newscast that focuses on real news, its investment in the project and the decision to originate from the “heart” of the country rather than Washington, D.C.
