Norah O’Donnell tosses to colleague — who’s not quite ready

CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell tried to toss to the network’s election and surveys director to get his take on the newly released data Feb. 4, 2020 from the first “data dump” from the democratic Iowa caucuses, but Anthony Salvanto wasn’t quite ready for his live it.
Salvanto could be giving directors over a headset but apparently did not realize he was on the air.
O’Donnell skillfully covered the slip up by acknowledging he was obviously hard at work crunching the numbers and transitioning to New Hampshire primary preview coverage before eventually circling back to Salvanto, who had since moved to a standup area with interactive touchscreen.
