Ohio forecaster’s family being held in alleged attack against him

A Cleveland forecaster was allegedly attacked at his home July 9, 2022, according to local police, with both his son and wife being arrested.
Jon Loufman’s son, Daniel Loufman, was arrested by authorities and is charged felonious assault and is currently being held on a one million dollar bond.
Julia Loufman, who is Jon’s wife, is facing charges of obstructing justice during the investigation.
Julia and Daniel Loufman have both pled not guilty to the charges.
Police did not release further details bout the incident as the investigation continues, though Loufman remains in the hospital as of July 11, 2022.
“We were devastated to hear about the brutal attack of our friend and colleague”, said WOIO general manager Matt Moran in a statement. “Jon is not only a true professional, he’s a beloved member of the 19 News family. Our prayers are joined with so many others in the community who are wishing him a full and speedy recovery.”
