In case there was any doubt, Fox News host Sean Hannity doesn’t consider his own network “fake news.”
- Appearing at a Trump rally in Missouri Monday, despite denials he would, Hannity took the mic and said “By the way all those people in the back are fake news.”
- Like in most rally-type events, the official press area was situated near the rear of the space, so presumably referring to the “back” would include at least some Fox News staffers.
- Hannity then tweeted, “to be clear, I was not referring to my journalist colleagues at Fox News in those remarks.”
- His tweet continued to praise Fox News:
To be clear, I was not referring to my journalist colleagues at FOX News in those remarks. They do amazing work day in and day out in a fair and balanced way and It is an honor to work with such great professionals.
