Melissa Luck, the news director at Spokane’s KXLY tweeted a photo of what she said is the “coolest audio booth” in TV.
- The booth is located at KSAT in San Antonio, Texas and is made from a reproduction of one of those iconic red British phone booths.
- In the photo Luck posted, a reporter can be seen inside the booth recording a voiceover track.
- At least some of the walls have been covered with foam padding to create a more ideal audio recording environment.
- Reproduction phone booths like this are sometimes used in offices as a more private place for employees to make phone calls in the age of open workspaces.
Hands down, @ksatnews has the coolest audio booth in tv news. pic.twitter.com/HPTgXkOJ7e
