Former Fox anchor Shepard Smith, while going over the timeline of events leading up to Donald Trump’s transfer to Walter Reed on CNBC, brought up one former Fox colleague — and a former CNBCer who is now part of the Trump team.
While both mentions Oct. 2, 2020, were key parts of the story and there’s no evidence Smith brought up the names on purpose, it was a bit interesting to hear him mention Sean Hannity and Larry Kudlow.
Hannity, of course, hosts an often controversial opinion show on Fox and conducted an interview Oct. 1, 2020 where Trump’s symptoms were described as “mild.”
Kudlow was previously a CNBC personality who is now Trump’s economic adviser. Much of the point of Smith’s timeline was to illustrate the levels of inconsistencies and, perhaps, playing down the severity of the illness.
