Rachel Leary, a 22 year old beauty and makeup influencer in the U.K. created a “kitchen rave” that combined the BBC News theme music.
The clip, originally posted to TikTok, shows Leary using her kitchen counter as a “D.J. booth” and includes flashing light effects and sprays of air freshener to complete the nightclub look.
The clip takes advantage of the BBC’s iconic theme music’s heavy, pulsating beat.
The clip has been viewed millions of times and even caught the attention of BBC’s PR team who tweeted “Stuck at home and needing creative inspiration? The, um, BBC News theme tune is here for you…” on its account.
The BBC’s Sophia Smith Galer posted the video to Twitter, writing “(P)ositively phenomenal use of the BBC News theme tune. Little does she know this is actually how we make the news.”
