Studio audiences banned at ‘GMA,’ ‘Tamron Hall,’ ‘The View’ and ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’

ABC is taking the step of removing studio audiences from much of its productions.

The Disney owned network is banning studio audiences from three talk shows it produces: “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” “Tamron Hall” and “The View.”
“Live” and “Hall” are syndicated talk shows.
“Good Morning America” will remove studio audience members from its second hour amid worries over the coronavirus.
The network had already stopped allowing the show’s hosts to take selfies with fans, reports Page Six.
It’s not immediately clear if ABC will remove studio audiences from “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” which tapes in Los Angeles.
Syndicated game shows “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” previously announced they would also forgo studio audiences for the immediate future. Both of these shows tape in the L.A. area.
NBC and CBS have not made definitive announcements as of March 10 about the fate of shows such as “The Tonight Show,” “Late Night” or “Today with Hoda and Jenna” or the “The Late Show” or “The Late Late Show.”
CBS Television Distribution’s “Dr. Phil” is also shedding his studio audience for the time being.
Syndicated talker “The Wendy Williams” show, which is produced in front of a live audience in New York is also removing studio audiences.
