The Blaze is shutting down its linear TV channel
Glenn Beck’s The Blaze is shuttering its traditional linear cable channel at the end of the year, the Hollywood Reporter is reporting.
- The media company will continue to run its subscription video on demand service, website, podcasts and radio offerings.
- The Blaze had attempted to enter the linear TV market against conservative Newsmax TV and One American News Network.
- According to sources, another reason The Blaze is pulling the plug on the linear offering is that contracts with distributors often prohibit content from being posted online, which is a drain on the channel’s digital business model.
